Here are the times Grads need to be at various locations. This has been posted on the Grad google classroom as well.



Due to weather uncertainty, the Grad Class Photo will take place on Friday May 24, at 2:30pm at the Lougheed Centre on the main staircase in the foyer.

Be at school at regular start time 8:30am on Grad Mass day, Thursday May 23 as you will be bussed over shortly after.

Be at the Lougheed Center at 6:00pm on Thursday May 23 (Cap and Gown) in order to be fitted for gowns and do a run through of the event.

Grad class photo will be taken at 2:30 on Friday May 24. Location TBA

Be at the CRE by 4:30pm on Friday May 24 as we need to line up in alphabetical order. Ceremony starts at 5:00pm.

Photos are needed for both the slide show as well as a poster display for the banquest. Hard copy photos and scanned images can be given to Mr. Sych and will be forwarded to the decorators. Deadline is MAY 20.


Tickets for the graduation events on Friday, May 24, 2019 at  the CRE are now available to purchase online through the parent portal on powerschool at  If you have not yet set up your account, click on Create Account and put in your name, email, a desired username and password.  If you require assistance with your powerschool access, please contact the school.  Alternatively, tickets can be purchased at the school with cash, debit or credit.

Deadline to purchase tickets is May 15,2019 and must be picked up at the school no later than May 22, 2019.  Tickets will not be available at the venue.

Graduates do not require a ticket. 

Please refer to the OLMP page to ensure that your student meets the requirements to participate prior to purchasing your tickets. 

Grads will be given 10 tickets to the cap and gown ceremony. We ask that you return any tickets you may not need to the school to be given to students who are looking for more than 10.

Ceremony tickets for Friday May 24 are $10.00

Ceremony-Banquet and Dance tickets for May 24 are $35.00 Ages 6-11 $25.00 5 and under Free

Dance only tickets $20.00

Tickets for all events must be purchased NO LATER THAN MAY 15.


GRAD HOODIES MUST BE ORDERED via THE GOOGLE CLASS ROOM SITE BY MARCH 20. Contact Mrs. Twitchell or Mr. Watson of you have questions.



Parent volunteers are needed for the morning of May 24 at 8:30AM to transport decorations from OLMP to the CRE and set up there. I will also need a couple parents who will be at the banquet/ dance until the end who can ensure that all decorations are taken down and removed from the CRE. They can be dropped off at OLMP on the morning of Monday May 27. Please contact Mr. Sych if you are able to assist with any of this.

Grad photos are tentatively booked for Thursday March 7, 2019. Sitting fee has been covered through grad fees. If you have not paid these, then you must bring a cheque for the photographer that day.

OLMP Graduation Ceremony and activities are held towards the end of the school year in May and to participate in the ceremony and activities students must be eligible to obtain an Alberta High School Diploma, Certificate of High School Achievement, or Certificate of High School Completion.
Therefore, Grade 12 students who wish to participate in the graduation ceremonies must meet the following requirements:
● Meet the High School Diploma requirements established by Alberta Education (See above).
● Must have completed Religion 15, 25 & 35
● Must be in attendance at the school for the full year (or agreed upon by the school)
● Must have the possibility of obtaining 100 credits by June of the graduation year.
● Are passing the required courses stated above as of the midterm reporting period (students who are working on courses required for their High School Diploma through Alberta Distance Learning must have a majority of modules completed by the midterm reporting period).
● All school fees are paid.
Students who are failing required courses may not be eligible to participate in the ceremony and activities. Students are responsible to make sure that they meet the requirements for graduating.
