2 students chosen from each homeroom will have 30 minutes to completely gut and carve a
creative piece into their pumpkin. This activity encourages creativity and team work as the
students work quickly and safely! The top two pumpkin designs will receive a prize and all of
the pumpkins will be displayed around the school to showcase the beautiful designs!
Want to test your duct taping skills? On Monday teams of 4 will have an opportunity to wrap up a team mate in toilet paper and then duct tape them to the wall! That’s right you heard that right! The teams will only have 30 minutes to completely wrap and tape someone safely to the wall (no tape around the neck or face). The winning team(s) that last the longest will receive a prize for their mummy-tastic efforts.
Does your team have what it takes to become the next greatest spook-letes? Sign up today or just come out and encourage your friends as they complete three Halloween inspired activities to combine the highest level of points! Activities include Monster bowling (pop bottles and mini pumpkins), Pin the Stem unto the Pumpkin (blindfolded), and Zombie Toss (bean bag toss). The teams that score the highest will be awarded prizes!
We highly encourage students and staff of every grade to dress up in the best costumes possible! We will be featuring the hard work and creativity during a lunch time parade and contest! Contest categories include: Most creative, scariest, funniest, best pair (2), best group (3+), and of course, STAFF! Prizes for the top 3 in each category will be awarded, so make sure you dress up and it is school appropriate (please check the website).
Last but not least to end off the fantastic week of Halloween Spirit, we have a competition in support of the Camrose Food Bank. We will be setting up a table outside of the Gym the week prior collecting Food Bank items in exchange for getting “votes”. Students then use these votes to select a teacher from a list (of the teachers that have yes) and on Thursday the class(es) that have brought in the most Food Bank items will get to throw these “pies” (whipping cream in pie pans) at the teacher(s) that have received the most votes!
At the Saturday evening mass we celebrate catholic education in the community.
